Use the CPT Search page to select the desired CPT Codes from the list of available codes.

Selecting a CPT Code

  1. Enter one or more characters of the CPT code or description in the Search field, and then click the Search button to view the list of CPT Codes that match your search.
  2. The CPT Search page contains a list of up to ten CPT codes and their descriptions. If the list is longer than one page, use the Page links, located below the list of CPT Codes, to navigate through the list. If there are more page links than can fit on the page at once, Copia displays the Page field. Enter a number in this field and press the Enter key on the keyboard to immediately open the selected page.
  3. If there were no matches to your search and you wish to add a new code, click the Add new CPT button to create the new CPT code on the CPT tab on the Medical Necessity administration page. See the Admin: Medical Necessity topic. You must have the necessary security settings to view the Medical Necessity page in order to add CPT codes.
  4. Click a CPT code to return to the preceding page. When modifying an order choice record, this adds that code and the code count to the CPT Codes for this Order Choice section. See the Admin: Order Choices topic. When modifying a validation set, this adds that code to the list of CPT codes in the validation set in the CPT Codes in Selected Set section. See the Admin: Medical Necessity topic.
  5. If the CPT code is already assigned to the order choice, then Copia displays the code in read-only mode; you will not be allowed to click the CPT code to add it to the order choice multiple times.
  6. Click Cancel to return to the preceding page without selecting a CPT code.
