Admin: Direct Dial Details

Use the Direct Dial Details page to set up default direct dial settings used for result delivery. See the Admin: System Defaults topic.

Accessing this Page
- Click the Direct Dial Details button in the Result Delivery Delivery Mechanisms section on the Result Delivery tab located on the System Defaults administration page. The Direct Dial checkbox must be selected for the Details button to be enabled.

Creating or Modifying Direct Dial Details
- Complete the fields below.
- Dial Prefix: Enter a direct dial prefix into the field to define a dial prefix for the phone number. This is added to the front of direct dial numbers to get an outside line.
- File Drop Path: Enter a file drop path into the field to define a drop path for files. This is the path where the direct dial software will look for the files to send. Click the Test button to see if the file path is valid. A pop-up stating "The directory or file was found" will appear if the path is valid and "The directory or file was not found" if the path is invalid. This field is required.
- Failed File Path: Enter a failed file path into the field to define a failed file path. This is the incorrect path that failed when attempting to send files. Click the Test button to see if the file path is valid. A pop-up stating "The directory or file was found" will appear if the path is valid and "The directory or file was not found" if the path is invalid.
- Direct Dial Wait Interval: Enter a value into the field to define a wait time interval for the direct dial. This is the amount of time (in seconds) that Copia waits before processing another direct dial message. The default value is 0.
- Direct Dial Maximum Batch Size: Enter a value into the field to define a direct dial maximum batch size. This is the maximum number of direct dial reports that can be batched together. The default value is 1.
- To edit the direct dial details fields, highlight or delete the text already displayed in the field, then modify as desired.
- Click the Cancel button to return to the System Defaults administration page without saving any changes.
- Click the OK button to record changes and return to the System Defaults administration page.

Adding or Editing Area Code Rules
- Select the Unless defined below, dial a one before ten digit direct dial numbers checkbox to have Copia always dial a one if the direct dial number is ten digits, unless the Always Dial "1" First checkbox is set for the area code (see below).
- Click the Add button to add a new area code rules set in the Area Code Rules section. Complete the fields below.
- Area Code: Enter the area code for the host or location.
- Always Dial Area Code: Select this checkbox to dial the area code for every phone number with the selected area code.
- Always Dial "1" First: Select this checkbox to dial "1" before the area code for every phone number with the selected area code.
- As you create area code rules, note that you must select at least one of the dial area code or dial "1" prefix options. Also, Copia does not allow you to create duplicate rules.
- To delete an area code rules set, click the X button that corresponds to the area code rules set.
- Click the Cancel button to return to the System Defaults administration page without saving any changes.
- Click the OK button to record changes and return to the System Defaults administration page.
