Printing the Collection List

  1. The Print Collection List page contains the list of orders that make up the collection list for sample collection. Use the scroll bar on the right side of the page to view the entire collection list.
  2. If you would like to print ABNs for any orders in the collection list that require them, mark the Include ABNs in Printed List checkbox. Copia will update the report preview with the ABNs, and the ABNs will be included when you print the collection list.
  3. If you would like to print requisitions for orders in the collection list, mark the Include Requisitions in Printed List checkbox. Copia will update the report preview with the requisitions, and the requisitions will be included when you print the collection list.
  4. When you save a collection list, Copia automatically assigns a number to it. That number is displayed in the List ID field. You cannot edit this value.
  5. Click Print List to open the standard print dialogs. Change the print settings as desired, and then click Print. Copia prints the collection list according to the settings you established in the print dialogs (number of copies, printer destination, etc.).
  6. You may also print labels for use in sample collection. See "Printing Labels" below.
  7. Click < Back to Collection List to close the Print Collection List page and return to the Collection List page in creation mode. See the Collection List topic.

Faxing the Collection List

  1. In addition to printing the collection list (see "Printing the Collection List" above), you may wish to fax the collection list to a user, location, or host.
  2. When you save a collection list, Copia automatically assigns a number to it. That number is displayed in the List ID field. You cannot edit this value.
  3. Click Fax List to open the Fax Recipient page, where you may select the user, location, or host recipient for the fax. See the Fax Recipient topic. Note that you must have the necessary security right associated with your assigned role to fax collection lists.
  4. You may also print labels for use in sample collection. See "Printing Labels" below.
  5. Click < Back to Collection List to close the Print Collection List page and return to the Collection List page in creation mode. See the Collection List topic.

Printing Labels

  1. In addition to printing or faxing the collection list (see "Printing the Collection List" or "Faxing the Collection List" above), you may wish to print labels to use during sample collection. Remember that in order to print labels, you must have a label printer attached to your system and have the necessary label printing application installed, or you may set up a connection to a network label printer. Contact an Orchard Copia Administrator for help with setting up label printing.
  2. Once you have established your label printing settings, there are two kinds of labels that you may generate. An Orchard Copia Administrator establishes the format (font size, bar code size, and bar code type, etc.) for each label type in the Label Printing administration page.
  3. The Summary Master Label Count field contains the number of summary master labels that Copia will print per order when you click Print Labels. By default, this field follows the Summary Master Label count setting as configured on the Default Label Count page at either the location or system default levels. Copia uses the location-level setting, if it is available, or the system default-level setting, if it is not. If neither is set, then Copia sets the count to 1 by default. Adjust this number if desired.
  4. The Lab Master Label Count field contains the number of lab-based master labels that Copia will print per order when you click Print Labels. By default, this field follows the Lab Master Label count settings as configured on the Default Label Count page at either the location or system default levels. Copia uses the location-level setting, if it is available, or the system default-level setting, if it is not. If neither is set, then Copia sets the count to 1 by default. Adjust this number if desired.
  5. The Extra Tube/Container Labels field contains the number of labels that Copia will print per tube/container when you click Print Labels. By default, this field is set to 0. Adjust this number if desired.
  6. Select the Include ABNs in Printed List checkbox to have Copia display ABNs (signed or unsigned) for printing.
  7. Select the Include Requisitions in Printed List checkbox to have Copia print requisition reports after the collection list (and after ABNs, if they are selected). The type of requisition printed matches the default settings of the checkboxes on the Print Requisition page.
  8. Select the Include collected samples when printing labels checkbox to have Copia include previously collected samples when printing labels while reconciling a Collection List. When this new setting is enabled, collected samples will populate the PDF preview on the Print List/Labels page, and the Print Labels button will print the collected samples' labels.
  9. Click the Print Labels button to print the labels according to the settings you established (number of master and tube labels). If you have defined a label printer in your application settings, Copia prints the labels to that printer; otherwise, it prints the labels to your connected local label printer.
  10. Click < Back to Collection List to close the Print Collection List page and return to the Collection List page in creation mode. See the Collection List topic.
