Page Description

After the metacontainers have been created, the following pages facilitate being able to edit them or reprint their labels. These pages can be initiated from several different places. Editing or reprinting of labels can be done singly or in bulk.

Disposability of metacontainers indicates whether or not the metacontainer can be marked for disposal on the Dispose page. If a metacontainer has been marked as non-disposable and needs to be disposed of, it can be edited to be disposable.

Creation of new metacontainers is also possible through several non-administration pages. This allows non-administration users to be able to create new metacontainers as needed. The ease of creating new metacontainers for non-administration users is important for disposable items, such as shipping bags or virtual racks that are created as they are needed.

• Click the Manage Samples menu button, click the Storage Management button, followed by clicking the Container ID link and clicking Edit.

Edit Metacontainers

1. The Edit Metacontainers table displays the following column information:
   • Type: displays the type of metacontainers.
   • Identifier: displays the identifiers for the metacontainers.
   • Description: displays descriptions of the metacontainers.
   • Disposable: select or clear the Disposable checkbox to edit the disposability of the metacontainer.
   • Transferable: select or clear the Transferable checkbox to edit the transferability of the metacontainer.
   • Reprint Label: click the Reprint Label link to reprint labels for the metacontainer.
2. Click Save to save changes made on the pop-up, or click Close to close the pop-up without saving changes.
