Page Description

Use the Generate Test Fax page to generate test faxes for fax numbers in the Copia system. The user can choose to generate test faxes in order to properly test any new or existing fax numbers in their Copia system. There is also an option to test a single fax number. When the user clicks on the Generate Test Faxes button, a fax for every number pulled from the database based off of on-screen criteria specified will have a fax message placed in the outbound queue.

Accessing this Page

• Click the Generate Test Faxes button on the Fax Details page located through the Fax Details button in the Delivery Mechanisms section of the Result Delivery tab on the System Defaults administration page.

1. Select the Limit faxed items based on recipient record creation date checkbox to configure a start and end date for generating test faxes.
• Enter date values in the Start and End fields to define when the fax generation should start and end. Enter values in the form of MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM AM/PM. Manually enter the start and end dates by clicking the calendar icon, or click the Now button to enter the current date and time. Click the Clear button to clear the field(s) of all values.
2. Select from the following checkboxes in the Generate test faxes for the following section to generate specific test faxes:
• Location record fax numbers: Select this checkbox to generate Location record fax numbers.
• User record fax numbers: Select this checkbox to generate User record fax numbers.
• Host record fax numbers: Select this checkbox to generate Host record fax numbers.
• Fax Number: Select this checkbox to generate a fax number.
3. Select an option from the Form letter to send as fax content drop-down list to choose a form letter to send as fax content. These form letters vary depending on what has been created in the Copia system.
4. Click the Generate Faxes button to generate the test fax with the information defined on the Generate Test Fax page. A pop-up will be displayed with the message "This configuration will generate ___ faxes. Are you sure you wish to generate these faxes?" Click the OK button to generate the faxes, or click the Cancel button to return to the Generate Test Fax page without generating any test faxes.
5. Click the Cancel button to return to the Fax Details page, followed by clicking either the OK button or the Cancel button to return to the System Defaults administration page.
