Use this page to modify the HL7 message structure of inbound messages that Copia could not parse successfully. Note that you are permanently modifying the original message. Copia does not maintain backup copies of messages.

• Click the Msg ID link or Edit Message button in the Match Results administration page.

1. Copia displays the HL7 result message when the Edit Result Message page appears.
2. Place the cursor in the message to display in the Cursor Position field the part of the message the cursor is in (e.g., IN2-5.1 or PV1-7.2). There are a few special cases: if the cursor is at the beginning of the message, the position will be “Start of Message”; if the cursor is at the end of the message, the position will be “End of Message”; if the cursor is in the first field of the MSH segment, the position will display “Message Delimiters”; if the cursor is at the end of a segment or the beginning of the next segment, the position will display “End of <segment type> Start of <segment type>” (e.g., End of GT1 Start of IN1).
3. To view more message details, return to the Match Results page. See the Admin: Match Results topic.
4. To edit the HL7 message structure, highlight or delete text already displayed, then modify as needed. Note that you are permanently modifying the original message. Copia does not maintain backup copies of messages.
5. Click Cancel to return to the Match Results administration page without saving any changes.
6. Click Save to record changes and return to the Match Results administration page, where you may rerun the message.
