Page Description

The Metacontainer Inquiry pop-up is intended to give a detailed view of the current state of the metacontainer. This includes the type, identifier, and description along with its current location in the storage hierarchy and its current contents.

Metacontainer Details

  1. Use the Metacontainers Details section to view the following:
    • Type: Displays the type of metacontainer.
    • Identifier: Displays the metacontainer identifier.
    • Description: Displays a description of the metacontainer.
    • Storage Hierarchy: Displays the indented view of all ancestors of the metacontainer. This shows where the metacontainer is currently stored. As is the case for any metacontainer ID that appears in Copia, the ID of each metacontainer in the storage hierarchy brings up the context menu for that metacontainer.

Content Layout

  1. The Contents Layout section is a visual representation of the layout of the metacontainer for types that have defined positions. Filled positions are colored green while empty positions are colored gray.
  2. Click a position to highlight the position in the Contents section. This is collapsed or expanded by default through the setup of the Metacontainer Type. If a Metacontainer Type is non-positional, this section is not visible.
  3. Click a row in the table to highlight the position in the layout visualization in the Contents Layout section. This is the tabular representation of the layout of the metacontainer.

Other Options

  1. Click Options to display a menu of actions that can be performed on this metacontainer.
    • Transfer: populate the Transfer page's worklist with this metacontainer. Once on the Transfer page, the options to show ancestor and descendant metacontainers and samples can be selected to transfer the contents to this metacontainer.
    • Create Manifest: populate the Create Manifest page with all samples contained in this metacontainer.
    • Dispose:open the Dispose page with this metacontainer as the root in the tree view.
    • Edit: open the Edit Metacontainer page to edit this metacontainer.
    • History: opens the Metacontainer History pop-up to be able to view the history of events that have occurred on the metacontainer.
