Admin: Storage Containers

Page Description

Use the Storage Container page to view, add, or edit storage tube/container types. You use these settings to define the maximum capacity of a cytology set in the Cytology Protocols administration page. See the Admin: Cytology Protocols topic.

Viewing the Storage Tube/Container Type List
  1. The Storage Containers list page contains a list of up to ten storage tube/container types. If the list is longer than one page, use the Page links, located below the list of storage tube/container types, to navigate through the list.
  2. To view only active storage tube/container types, select the Show active only checkbox at the top of the page. You set the active/inactive status in the Storage Tube/Container Type Details section of the Storage Containers details page. See "Adding Storage Tube/Container Types" below.
  3. If you cannot find the desired storage tube/container type, click the Add button to add a storage tube/container type. See "Adding Storage Tube/Container Types" below.
  4. Click the name of the storage tube/container type on the Storage Containers list page to edit the container information in the Storage Containers details page. See "Editing Storage Tube/Container Types" below.

Adding Storage Tube/Container Types

  1. Use the Storage Containers details page to add storage containers.
  2. Enter the type of container in the Storage Tube/Container Type field. This field is required.
  3. Select the Active checkbox to enable users to select the storage tube/container type while creating Cytology protocols. Clear this checkbox to restrict users from selecting the storage tube/container type. If the storage tube/container type is inactive, Copia clears it from the Storage Tube/Container Types list page when you select the Show active only checkbox. See "Viewing the Storage Tube/Container Type List" above.
  4. Enter the maximum capacity of the storage tube/container type in the Sample Capacity field.
  5. Click < Back to List to return to the Storage Tube/Container Types list page without saving any changes.
  6. Click Save to record changes and return to the Storage Tube/Container Types list page.

Editing Storage Tube/Container Types

  1. To edit the storage tube/container types fields, select or clear checkboxes, or highlight or delete text already displayed in the fields, then modify as desired.
  2. Select the Active checkbox to enable users to select the storage tube/container type while creating Cytology protocols. Clear this checkbox to restrict users from selecting the storage tube/container type. If the storage tube/container type is inactive, Copia clears it from the Storage Containers list page when you select the Show active only checkbox. See "Viewing the Storage Tube/Container Type List" above.
  3. Click < Back to List to return to the Storage Containers list page without saving any changes.
  4. Click Save to record changes and return to the Storage Containers list page.
