Use the Aliquot Label Groups administration page to set up aliquot label groups. An aliquot label group is a set of user defined label formats that users may then assign to one or more order choices. 

You can assign a defined aliquot label group to an order choice as the default group, and/or assign a group per order choice and host combination on the Order Choices administration page.

If desired, you may create an aliquot spacer label when you access the Label Printing administration page via the System Defaults administration page by choosing aliquot spacer as the Label Type. Copia will print the aliquot spacer label between the normal label group and the aliquot label group.

You may also base printing aliquot labels and aliquot spacer labels on the signed in location and/or the ordering location for electronic orders by enabling them on the Locations administration page.

Accessing this Page

• Click the Administration menu button, click the Other Setup button, and then click the Aliquot Label Groups submenu link. You must have the necessary security permissions to access the Administration menu button and to access the Aliquot Label Groups administration page.

When you click the Administration menu button, Copia opens the main Administration menu, which contains administrative menu buttons, including the Other Setup menu. To return to the main menu for Copia, click the Lab Tasks menu button.

Viewing the Aliquot Label Groups List

1. The Aliquot Labels page contains a list of up to ten aliquot label groups. If the list is longer than one page, use the Page links, located below the list of groups, to navigate through the list.
2. To view active aliquot label groups only, select the Show active only checkbox at the top of the Aliquot Labels page. You set the inactive/active status in the Aliquot Label Group Details section of the Aliquot Labels details page. See "Adding or Editing Aliquot Label Group Details" below.
3. If you cannot find the desired aliquot label group, click the Add button to add a group. See "Adding or Editing Aliquot Label Group Details" below.
4. Click an aliquot label group on the Aliquot Labels list page to view or edit label information on the Aliquot Labels details page. See "Adding or Editing Aliquot Label Group Details" below.

Adding or Editing Aliquot Label Groups Details

1. Use the Aliquot Label Group Details section of the Aliquot Labels details page to add or edit a label group.
2. Enter the name of the group in the Aliquot Label Group field. This field is required.
3. Select the Active checkbox to enable users to select the aliquot label group while entering an order choice. Clear this checkbox to restrict users from selecting the group. If the aliquot label group is inactive, Copia clears it from the Aliquot Labels list page when you select the Show active only checkbox. See "Viewing the Aliquot Label Group List" above.
4. Select the Restrict label content to associated order choice information checkbox to restrict label content. When this checkbox is selected, when this aliquot group is used to print labels, the content of the labels will be restricted to the order choice(s) that the label is being printed for.
5. Each format in the group is listed in the Label Formats section of the page.
6. Click the Add button to add a label format to the aliquot label group using the Label Printing page. See the Admin: Label Printing topic
7. Click the Name of an existing label format to edit its settings in the Label Printing page.
8. Enter a value in the Copies field to set how many copies of the label Copia should print when printing aliquot labels for an order choice.
9. Click the up and down arrow buttons in the Sort Order field to change the order in which Copia prints the aliquot labels.
10. Click the X button in the Delete column to remove the label format from the aliquot label group.
11. Click < Back to List to return to the Aliquot Labels list page without saving any changes.
12. Click Save to record changes and return to the Aliquot Labels list page.
