Adding or Editing Quick Comments Details

  1. Use the Quick Comments Details section of the Quick Comments details page to add or edit a quick comment.
  2. Enter an indentifying number for the comment in the Quick Comment ID field, if desired.
  3. Enter or modify the quick comment in the Comment Text field. This field is required.
  4. To edit the quick comment, highlight or delete text already displayed in the field, then modify as desired.
  5. Select the Active checkbox to enable users to select the quick comment while entering patient, order, and order choice comments, depending on what level you set for the comments (see below). Clear this checkbox to restrict users from selecting the quick comment. If the quick comment is inactive, Copia clears it from the Quick Comments list page when you select the Show active only checkbox. See "Viewing the Quick Comments List" above.
  6. Select an option from the Field Code drop-down list to specify field codes for quick comments. Select either Current Time, Current Date, Current User's ID, or Current User's Name from the drop-down list. When a field code is selected, it automatically appears in the Comment Text field.
  7. Select the Client Service Item Description, Client Service Item Note, Client Service Item Resolution, Client Service Item Summary, Clinical Info Comment, Order Choice Comment, Order Comment, Patient Comment, Result Linked Document Annotations Comment, Order Linked Document Annotations Comment, Patient Linked Document Annotations Comment, Specimen Source Free Form Text, and/or Result Comment checkboxes to indicate the comment pages on which the quick comment should be available. See the Add/Edit Patient Comment, Add/Edit Order Comment, or Add/Edit Order Choice Comment topics.

  9. Click Save to record changes and return to the Quick Comments list page.
