Use the Sex page to add or edit the list of sexes used for patient demographics. See the Demographics topic.

Viewing the Sex List

  1. The Sex page contains a list of up to ten sexes. If the list is longer than one page, use the Page links, located below the list of sexes, to navigate through the list.
  2. Enter one or more characters in the Name field and click the Refresh button to narrow the list to items that match the value you entered.
  3. Select the Enable transsexual values checkbox at the top of the Sex page to make transsexual values valid in the system. By default, Copia assigns M/F to patients migrating sexes from male to female and F/M for patients migrating sexes from female to male.
  4. Click the M/F or F/M links in the Name column on the Sex list page to view or edit information for that transsexual migration on the Sex details page. See "Adding or Editing Transsexual Migration Details" below.

Adding or Editing Transsexual Migration Details

  1. Use the Sex Details section of the Sex details page to to view or edit information for that transsexual migration.
  2. Edit the name of the sex in the Name field. This field is required.
  3. Enter the Default Host Code value.
  4. In the Host Codes for this Sex section, enter the desired code for each host in the Host Code field to set the value Copia and the host will use for this sex when transmitting or receiving information.
  5. Click Cancel to return to the Sex list page without saving any changes.
  6. Click Save to record changes and return to the Sex list page.
