Page Description

The Edit Schedule page allows you to set up Copia to automatically run data browser reports or create collection lists, including setting the timing for when Copia performs the action, the next date for the event, who the action is being performed for, and where to print or export the report or collection list. Note that if you are editing an existing schedule, Copia tracks your changes in the Change Log.

Click on the tab that corresponds to the information you wish to view.

Schedule Hourly Tab

Use the Hourly tab to configure an hourly schedule in which Copia should perform the action.

Schedule Daily Tab

Use the Daily tab to configure a daily schedule in which Copia should perform the action.

Schedule Weekly Tab

Use the Weekly tab to configure a weekly schedule in which Copia should perform the action.

Schedule Monthly Tab

Use the Monthly tab to configure a monthly schedule in which Copia should perform the action.

Schedule Yearly Tab

Use the Yearly tab to configure a yearly schedule in which Copia should perform the action.

Accessing Schedule Tabs

  1. Click the Hourly tab to configure an hourly schedule in which Copia should perform the action.
  2. Click the Daily tab to configure a daily schedule in which Copia should perform the action.

Setting the Schedule Details

  1. Select the Hourly, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly tab. If you have previously saved this schedule and you select a different tab, Copia prompts you to confirm that you wish to change the recurrence pattern for the schedule. Click Yes to continue, or click No to retain the current recurrence pattern.

Schedule Hourly Tab Details

  1. Click the Hourly tab to configure an hourly schedule in which Copia should perform the action.
  2. Click the Repeat every ___ hours radio button to have Copia repeat every specified number of hours. The default value is 1. Click the Repeat every ___ minutes radio button to have Copia repeat every specified number of minutes. The default value is 1.
  3. Select the Retain Current Scheduled Next Date's Time checkbox to have Copia allow tabs other than the "Daily" recurrence pattern to retain the scheduled time on data browsers if the server happens to be down during the time the browser was supposed to run. When this setting is enabled, the scheduled browser's "Next Run Date" value is retained as the "Last Run Date" value in the event that the application server was offline and the browser was actually run at a later time.
  4. Select the Prevent reports with no results from sending checkbox to prevent these scheduled events from sending empty reports.
  5. Enter values into the Next Date field to specify a date in which the action will be performed next. Click the calendar icon to manually enter the date, or click the Now button to populate the current date. Click the Clear button to remove values from the field. Note that the system will populate the Next Date field if it is left blank.
  6. Enter text into the For User field to search for a user. This is a search-as-you-type field. Click the X button to remove a user, and click the magnifying glass icon to manually search for a user. This field is required.
  7. Select the Unrestricted Query checkbox to only allow users to use basic queries to gather information. The unrestricted query type, like the restricted query type, will only allow basic "SELECT" type of queries to gather information from the database. However, with the unrestricted type, more advanced SQL commands are available and can be used, such as: "LEFT," "JOIN," "IN," "NOT IN," "LIKE," table aliases, and sub-queries.
  8. Enter text into the Deliver to Location Inbox field to search for a Location Inbox in which the schedule will be delivered. This is a search-as-you-type field. Click the X button to remove a Location Inbox, and click the magnifying glass icon to manually search for a Location Inbox. Select the Send PDF checkbox to send the schedule as a PDF, and click the Send Export File drop-down list to select either "Double quotes and comma," "Comma," "Tab," "Vertical bar," or "Semicolon."
  9. Click the Add button next to the Deliver to Email Address option to display a field to search for a user's email address. Enter text into the field. This is a search-as-you-type field. Click the X button to remove an email address. Select the Send PDF checkbox to send the email as a PDF, and click the Send Export File drop-down list to select either "Double quotes and comma," "Comma," "Tab," "Vertical bar," or "Semicolon."
  10. Select the Send Export File checkbox to have Copia send an export file of the scheduled billing summary reports. Select the Export As ZIP File checkbox to have Copia export the scheduled billing summary report as a ZIP file. Select a delimiter option from the drop-down in order to define the delimiter for the location and email. Select either "Comma," "Double quotes and comma," "Semicolon," "Tab," or "Vertical bar" from the drop-down list.
  11. Click the Add button next to the Deliver to Fax Number option to display a field to search for a user's fax number. Enter text into the field. This is a search-as-you-type field. Click the X button to remove a fax number.
  12. Click the Add button next to the Deliver to Direct Dial Number option to display a field to search for a user's direct dial number. Enter text into the field. This is a search-as-you-type field. Click the X button to remove a direct dial number.
  13. Enter text into the Deliver to RAPS Printer field to search for a RAPS printer. Click the magnifying glass icon to manually search for a RAPS printer. When a RAPS printer is selected, it will appear in the list below the search field. The tabled list will display the Remote Printer and the Remote Printing Service. If no printers are selected, a "No records selected" message will be displayed.
  14. Enter text into the Deliver to Direct Printer field to search for a Direct printer. Click the magnifying glass icon to manually search for a Direct printer. When a Direct printer is selected, it will appear in the list below the search field. The tabled list will display the Name, Practice, Path, and Active status of the printer. If no printers are selected, a "No records selected" message will be displayed.
  15. Enter text into the Export to field to identify an export location. When you have entered text, click the Test button to test the export location, or click the Clear button to clear the field.
  16. Select the Overwrite Previous Export Files checkbox to overwrite previous export files. Click the drop-down list to select either "Double quotes and comma," "Comma," "Tab," "Vertical bar," or "Semicolon."
  17. Enter text into the HL7 Export to field to identify an HL7 export location. When you have entered text, click the Test button to test the export location, or click the Clear button to clear the field.
  18. Enter text into the Host field to identify a host for the schedule. Click the X button to remove a host, and click the magnifying glass icon to manually search for a host. Enter a value into the File Extension field to identify a file extension for the host.
  19. Enter text in the Export to field to export query results to a folder from a scheduled event. Click the Test button to test the location. Click the Clear button to clear the field. Select a delimiter from the drop-down list. Select either "Comma," "Double quotes and comma," "Semicolon," "Tab," or "Vertical bar" from the drop-down list. Select an option from the Line Break drop-down list to select a line break style. Select either "Carriage Return," "Line Feed," or "Carriage Return and Line Feed" from the drop-down list.
  20. Select the Execute on server checkbox to set the scheduled event on a specific server that it will run on. The scheduled event will not run on any other server, even if the specified server is down.
  21. Click the Save button to save all changes made to the page. Click the Cancel button to navigate back to the Data Browser page without saving any changes.

Schedule Daily Tab Details

  1. Click the Daily tab to configure a daily schedule in which Copia should perform the action.

  3. When this setting is enabled, the scheduled browser's "Next Run Date" value is retained as the "Last Run Date" value in the event that the application server was offline and the browser was actually run at a later time.

  5. Select the Prevent reports with no results from sending checkbox to prevent these scheduled events from sending empty reports.

  9. Click the Add button next to the Deliver to Email Address option to display a field to search for a user's email address. Enter text into the field. This is a search-as-you-type field.   19. Select the Execute on server checkbox to set the scheduled event on a specific server that it will run on. The scheduled event will not run on any other server, even if the specified server is down.
  20. Click the Save button to save all changes made to the page. Click the Cancel button to navigate back to the Data Browser page without saving any changes.

Schedule Weekly Tab Details

  1. Click the Weekly tab to configure a weekly schedule in which Copia should perform the action.
  2. Click the Repeat every ___ weeks on radio button to have Copia repeat every specified number of hours. The default value is 1. Select the weekday(s) that Copia should repeat the schedule.
  3. Select the Retain Current Scheduled Next Date's Time checkbox to have Copia allow tabs other than the "Daily" recurrence pattern to retain the scheduled time on data browsers if the server happens to be down during the time the browser was supposed to run. When this setting is enabled, the scheduled browser's "Next Run Date" value is retained as the "Last Run Date" value in the event that the application server was offline and the browser was actually run at a later time.
